New Safety Camera Enforcement Locations on the A9
As part of the A9 dualling programme two new enforcement locations have been identified South of Aviemore.
Safety Camera Vans from the North Safety Camera Unit will enforce at the locations between Kincraig and Lynwilg, on the Kincraig to Dalraddy section aiming to reduce the number of casualties on this section of road by encouraging improved driver behaviour.
With long term road works continuing between Luncarty and Pass of Birnam whilst the section of the A9 is widened as part of the dualling programme average speed cameras are currently operational at Bankfoot with a 40mph speed limit in operation.
The A9 might be one of Scotland's most beautiful roads but sadly it is all too often the scene of serious and fatal road traffic collisions with speed often a contributory factor. Average Speed Cameras and Safety Camera Vans enforce along the A9 route with aims to improve driver behaviour by encouraging motorists to slow down and drive within the speed limit.
